Base24 Test Analyst

Position Title: Base24 Test Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Base24 Test Analyst to join our quality assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing test cases for the Base24 payment processing platform. This role requires in-depth knowledge of payment systems, specifically Base24, and experience with functional, regression, and integration testing within transaction processing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Design:

Understand and analyze requirements and design test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for Base24 applications.
Develop and maintain test plans, strategies, and execution schedules to ensure proper test coverage.
Prepare test environments and datasets to support various test phases.
Test Execution:

Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on Base24 payment processing systems.
Execute manual and automated test scripts, track defects, and validate defect fixes.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
Validate transaction processing, including ATM, POS, and other banking services.
Defect Management:

Log, track, and manage defects found during testing.
Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to address and resolve issues.
Perform root cause analysis for defects and recommend improvements in the system.
Documentation:

Create detailed test documentation including test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
Prepare test summaries and reports for stakeholders, including test metrics and analysis.
Collaboration:

Work with cross-functional teams, including development, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure testing aligns with project goals.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile/Scrum process (if applicable).

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Knowledge:

Extensive experience with the Base24 platform (Classic or Base24-eps).
Knowledge of ATM, POS, ISO 8583, and card payments systems.
Familiarity with tools and environments such as HP ALM, JIRA, or other defect management tools.
Testing Skills:

Proven experience in functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Strong knowledge of test automation tools is a plus.
Understanding of payment network protocols and message formats (e.g., ISO 8583, XML).
Other Skills:

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Test Analyst or QA Engineer, with specific experience on Base24.
Certifications in testing (e.g., ISTQB) are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of transaction routing and switching systems.
Experience with performance and load testing in payment processing environments.
