Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team and help drive the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and related technologies.

Position: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Type: Full-time, Contract (12-months)
Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid remote)
Language: English (Fluent)

Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, Containers (Docker, Podman), Helm, and RedHat technologies.
– Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, with a focus on declarative Jenkins and custom steps.
– Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through version control systems like GitHub and GitOps principles, leveraging tools like ArgoCD.
– Ensure the security of our infrastructure by implementing and managing cryptographic technologies, including RSA, TLS, and PKIs.
– Administer and optimise Relational Databases, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL.
– Create and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, and utilise the Unix toolchain for automation and system management.
– Utilise IBM Cloud Services, such as LogDNA and Sysdig, for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
– Proven experience with Kubernetes, Containers (Docker, Podman), Helm, and RedHat technologies.
– Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins, and the ability to create declarative pipelines and custom steps.
– Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, GitOps, and version control systems like GitHub.
– Knowledge of cryptographic technologies, including RSA, TLS, and PKIs.
– Proficiency in managing and optimising Relational Databases, with experience in PostgreSQL being a plus.
– Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python, along with expertise in the Unix toolchain.
– Experience with IBM Cloud Services, particularly LogDNA and Sysdig, is a significant advantage.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
– Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, RedHat, Jenkins) are a plus.
