Solution Architect

Position: Solution Architect
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Contract: 12 months + Extendable

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to understand and document the functional and technical requirements for various banking projects and initiatives.

Architecture Design: Develop comprehensive, scalable, and robust architecture designs for banking applications, systems, and platforms. Ensure the solutions adhere to best practices, security standards, and regulatory compliance.

Banking Domain Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the banking domain to design solutions that meet industry-specific challenges, including core banking systems, payment processing, risk management, compliance, and customer relationship management (CRM).

Integration and Interoperability: Define integration strategies to facilitate seamless data exchange between disparate banking systems and third-party applications. Implement and recommend API management, microservices, and other relevant integration patterns.

Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools that best suit the banking environment. Stay updated with emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.

Risk and Security Management: Ensure that the proposed solutions maintain a high level of security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, PSD2, and other banking industry standards.

Project Oversight: Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with development teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of solutions on time and within budget.

Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and devise strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of banking systems and applications.

Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and business leaders, to gain support and alignment for architectural decisions.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to design testing strategies that validate the functionality, security, and performance of the banking solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect in the banking industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex and scalable solutions.
Strong knowledge of banking processes, systems, and regulations, including core banking, payments, risk management, and compliance.
Expertise in designing and implementing architecture for large-scale banking applications and platforms.
Familiarity with modern architectural patterns, cloud-based solutions, and microservices architecture.
Experience with integration technologies and API management.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in the banking industry (e.g., Java, C++, .NET, etc.).
Understanding of data modeling and database design for banking applications.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Project management experience and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
