Our customer, a global IT services company providing consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing services, is seeking a skilled Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a demonstrated track record in creating and implementing automation strategies across different levels of testing. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in automation frameworks and tools, adeptness in selecting the most suitable tools for various testing scenarios, and a strong understanding of automation patterns to ensure maintainability, readability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement an automation strategy encompassing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing levels.
– Evaluate and select appropriate automation frameworks and tools, conducting proof-of-concept studies to determine tooling suitability.
– Utilize automation patterns such as the Page Object Model to ensure the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of automated tests.
– Exercise discretion in determining areas suitable for automation, employing a risk-based testing approach.
– Engage product team members and wider stakeholders to gain buy-in for automation strategies, fostering collaboration and support.
– Collaborate closely with product team members as an agile tester, ensuring alignment and synergy in testing efforts.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Proficiency in English at B2+/C1 level.
– Proven experience in crafting automation strategies spanning various testing levels (unit, integration, end to end).
– Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools, including the ability to assess tool suitability through proof-of-concept studies.
– Expertise in automation patterns such as the Page Object Model to ensure maintainable, readable, and scalable automation.
– Discernment in determining what to automate and what not to automate, grounded in a solid understanding of risk-based testing principles.
– Ability to engage and gain support for automation strategies from product team members and wider stakeholders.
– Nice to have: Experience working as an agile tester in collaboration with product team members.
