Position: Scrum Master
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Contract: 12 months + Extendable

The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in our organisation, responsible for promoting and facilitating Agile and Scrum practices to drive successful software development projects. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality products efficiently. The Scrum Master will be responsible for:
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Ensure that these events are effective, time-boxed, and collaborative.
• Team Support: Support the development team in their efforts to continuously improve and become self-organizing. Remove impediments and foster an environment of trust and collaboration within the team.
• Scrum Process: Guide the team in the consistent application of Scrum principles. Ensure the team understands and follows Scrum theory, practices, and rules.
• Shielding the Team: Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions, allowing the team to focus on delivering high-quality products within the Sprint.
• Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report team progress using appropriate metrics. Provide visibility into the team’s progress and ensure the Scrum artefacts are visible to all stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with the team to implement changes that enhance productivity and product quality.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure that the product backlog is groomed, refined, and prioritized effectively. Act as a bridge between the development team and stakeholders.
• Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching to the team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum practices. Help individuals and teams understand and enact the Scrum framework.
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an agile software development environment.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to address team challenges effectively.
• Knowledge of other Agile methodologies and frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with agile tools and software for project management and tracking.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
