Overview
Linnk is seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Robotics Deployment to support the deployment and ongoing technical operation of advanced robotic systems within a large-scale fulfilment environment.
This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role responsible for coordinating field engineering activity, supporting hardware and firmware updates, managing preventive maintenance, and acting as the primary technical interface between on-site teams and central engineering stakeholders.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical troubleshooting capability with excellent coordination and communication skills. You will play a key role in ensuring robotics systems remain reliable, issues are escalated quickly, and hardware and software updates are deployed safely and effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day activity of on-site field engineers and contractor resources
• Act as the primary technical contact between site engineering teams, RME, programme engineering, and product stakeholders
• Coordinate and complete hardware, firmware, and configuration changes across deployed robotic systems
• Prepare and coordinate weekly software image and feature releases
• Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure required maintenance schedules are completed effectively
• Audit preventive maintenance processes and identify opportunities for improvement or simplification
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software issues and coordinate corrective actions
• Escalate technical issues, system malfunctions, operational impact, and critical risks to engineering and programme leadership
• Work closely with central engineering teams to investigate recurring software and system issues
• Support RME training and identify technical, product, or training gaps requiring additional support
• Monitor system performance and provide clear technical updates to relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate on-site staffing and technical resources to ensure deployment and support requirements are covered

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience in robotics, automation, mechatronics, controls, maintenance engineering, or a similar technical environment
• Experience supporting complex automated or robotic systems within operational or industrial environments
• Strong understanding of hardware, firmware, software, and preventive maintenance activities
• Experience coordinating field engineers, technicians, or technical contractor teams
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both engineering and operational stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and escalations
• Comfortable working hands-on with deployed technical systems in a live operational environment
• Able to work on-site in Erfurt, Germany

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience within Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME), field service, or deployment engineering
• Experience supporting robotics or automation deployments within fulfilment, logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
• Experience managing firmware, configuration, or software release activities
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programmes and maintenance optimisation
• Experience supporting product launches, new technology deployments, or first-of-kind systems
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams and escalating issues to central product or development teams
• Familiarity with structured technical training and capability development for maintenance teams
