Job Title: Lab Technician (Networking) – Part-Time

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Lab Technician (Networking) to support and manage our lab operations in Milpitas, CA. This is a part-time onsite role (20 hours per week), ideally suited for a student or graduate who is eager to gain practical, real-world experience working with enterprise networking equipment.
You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with advanced lab environments, supporting network setup, troubleshooting, and configuration while collaborating with engineers to recreate customer scenarios.
This position is an excellent stepping stone for anyone pursuing a career in Network Engineering or IT Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily operations of the lab environment, ensuring smooth workflows.
Perform racking, stacking, cabling, and equipment setup.
Configure and troubleshoot networking hardware and software.
Recreate customer scenarios for testing, validation, and proof-of-concept.
Maintain lab inventory, order equipment, and track assets.
Document and update lab topologies, configurations, and processes.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Networking, Computer Science, or related field OR current enrolment in a networking-related program.
Basic experience with networking equipment, cabling, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and common protocols is a plus.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
