Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Kettering, UK
Duration: 7 months (renewable)

Our client is a leader in automation and advanced logistics technology, delivering innovative solutions across fulfilment and distribution environments.
The Role
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects focused on material handling systems, automation, and robotics. This includes planning, installation, commissioning, and handover, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage MHE vendors during installation and commissioning
– Lead on-site coordination, planning, and stakeholder management
– Conduct site inspections at key project milestones
– Produce daily and weekly progress reports
– Coordinate schedules, budgets, and phased building handovers
– Coach and oversee contractors, engineers, and commissioning teams
– Ensure delivery meets quality, safety, and timeline targets
– Enforce site safety standards and escalate risks immediately
Basic Qualifications
– 3+ years’ project management experience in MHE/logistics environments
– Experience delivering process improvements using data and metrics
– Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills
– Background in large-scale, fast-paced operational settings
– Bachelor’s degree
– Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
Preferred Qualifications
– End-to-end project delivery experience with senior stakeholder reporting
– Proven process improvement track record
– Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM)
