Red Hat Openshift Specialist

Linnk Group are seeking a highly experienced Red Hat / OpenShift Specialist to take ownership of an enterprise OpenShift platforms built on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). An exciting opportunity to work with a market leading organisation.

This role is focused purely on the Red Hat ecosystem and requires deep hands-on expertise in OpenShift cluster architecture, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and platform stability within production environments. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for OpenShift and RHEL across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

OpenShift Platform
Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) clusters.
Perform cluster lifecycle management (upgrades, patching, scaling).
Manage Operators, projects/namespaces, RBAC, quotas, and policies.
Configure and maintain cluster networking, ingress, and internal routing.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
Monitor and optimize cluster performance and stability.
Troubleshoot complex OpenShift platform issues in production environments.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Install and maintain RHEL servers supporting OpenShift environments.
Manage subscriptions, repositories, and patching strategies.
Perform system hardening and apply Red Hat security best practices.
Troubleshoot OS-level issues impacting container platforms.

Platform Security & Governance
Implement RBAC policies and access controls.
Apply security configurations aligned with enterprise standards.
Support vulnerability remediation at OS and platform level.
Maintain compliance documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) in production environments.
Deep understanding of OpenShift architecture and Kubernetes internals (from a platform administration perspective).
Advanced experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9).
Experience managing OpenShift cluster lifecycle operations.
Strong troubleshooting capability across OpenShift and RHEL layers.
Experience implementing OpenShift RBAC and security policies.
Understanding of OpenShift networking and storage configuration
