Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT)

Role Overview
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical data center infrastructure, ensuring continuous uptime of mission-critical systems supporting AWS cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems
Monitor and troubleshoot power, cooling, generators, UPS, and network infrastructure
Support incident management, maintenance activities, and system monitoring
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure high availability (targeting 99.999% uptime)
Assist with installation and deployment of new equipment (racks, cabling, infrastructure)
Conduct site inspections and system checks to ensure operational performance
Support contractors and engineers in maintenance and upgrade activities
Respond to internal service requests via ticketing systems
Drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives

Key Skills & Experience
Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems
Experience in data center or critical infrastructure environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
Understanding of mission-critical systems and high-availability environments
Relevant certifications (e.g. electrical, HVAC, UPS/generators) advantageous
