Job Title – Onsite Design Engineer / Project Manager
Type: Full-Time (Onsite)
Location: La Verrière, France (Near Paris)
Linnk Group is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Onsite Design Engineer / Project Manager to be embedded at a delivery station near Paris. This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on identifying, managing, and resolving design-related issues that impact installation, safety, maintenance, and overall system performance.
This position acts as a key link between on-site operations and central design teams, working closely with Field Engineering, Design and Construction, IT, RME, Safety, and external vendors to ensure efficient issue resolution and continuous site improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design Issue Management
• Act as the primary onsite point of contact for all design-related issues, gaps, and non-conformances
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs and audits to proactively identify risks and design deficiencies
• Maintain a live issue tracker, including root cause analysis, ownership, timelines, and resolution status
• Prioritise and drive issue resolution based on safety, operational impact, and complexity
Project Management
• Develop and manage project plans for design resolution activities, including milestones and dependencies
• Lead site-level design review meetings and ensure actions are tracked through to completion
• Provide structured progress updates and escalate risks or blockers to leadership
• Support future site improvements by providing practical, on-the-ground design feedback
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the central coordination point between engineering, construction, maintenance, IT, safety teams, and vendors
• Ensure clear communication across stakeholders to maintain momentum and alignment
Documentation and Standards
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards
• Ensure all remediation work is documented in line with compliance and asset management requirements
• Support updates to as-built drawings and maintain accurate site documentation
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, project management, construction, or facilities roles
• Experience within logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and concurrent workstreams
• Fluent in French and English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with tools such as SIM, Quip, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of French building regulations, safety standards, and EU directives
• Experience working with RME or maintenance teams in industrial settings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage for vendor coordination
Working Environment
• Fully onsite role based in La Verrière (Île-de-France)
• Regular work within active operational and construction environments (PPE required)
• Collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones
