Job Title: Project Manager – Physical Security (PhySec)
Location: Berlin or Munich (Germany) OR Madrid (Spain)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)

Travel: 30–40% across Europe

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support European operations within a Physical Security (PhySec) Implementation team. This role will take ownership of a portfolio of physical security projects across multiple European sites, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
The successful candidate will operate across both new site launches and retrofit/expansion initiatives, managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong coordination, communication, and reporting standards across a complex stakeholder landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage end-to-end delivery of physical security projects across Europe, including:
– Site surveys and assessments
– Vendor and contractor coordination
– Construction and installation oversight
– System commissioning and handover
– Lead and manage a portfolio of ~15–20 projects, with direct responsibility for approximately 8 concurrent projects
– Define project milestones, timelines, and delivery plans, ensuring adherence to deadlines
– Act as the central point of coordination across internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders
– Maintain clear, consistent, and proactive reporting on project status, risks, and progress
– Use project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies
– Ensure alignment across all stakeholders, driving accountability and clarity
– Adapt to changing project requirements and manage ambiguity in a dynamic environment
– Support change management processes, including approvals and evolving project scopes
– Work closely with regional points of contact to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery execution
Project Scope:
The role will support a mix of:
– LAUNCH projects: Physical security implementation for new site openings
– REI projects: Retrofit and expansion initiatives on existing operational sites
Projects will run from May 2026 through early 2027 across multiple European locations.
Required Experience & Skills:
Must-Have:
– Strong stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills
– Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and take ownership of delivery
– Excellent reporting capabilities with a proactive, transparent communication style
Core Requirements:
– Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management
– Experience in physical security, construction, civil works, or facility-related projects
– Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a complex environment
– Strong planning and milestone management skills
– Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities
– Familiarity with project management tools and reporting dashboards (e.g., Asana)
– High level of autonomy, organisation, and accountability
Technical Exposure (Preferred):
– Basic understanding of physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection)
– Experience working alongside construction or infrastructure delivery teams
Languages:
– English (fluent, mandatory)
– Spanish or German (preferred depending on location, but not essential)
– Additional Information
– Candidates do not need to be nationals of the country but must be able to work from the specified locations
– The role requires frequent travel across European sites
– Experience in large-scale, high-growth environments (e.g., logistics, e-commerce, or similar) is advantageous
