Linnk Group is seeking a highly driven and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee Retrofits, Expansions, and Initiatives (REI) across existing facilities within the Germany Middle Mile network. This role is a critical onsite position responsible for managing renovations, tenant improvements, and capacity expansion projects.
The Construction Project Manager will act as the primary representative, interfacing with developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. This role blends construction engineering, project management, facilities management, and contract oversight, ensuring seamless execution across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Construction Management
• Lead end-to-end project management of REI initiatives, including renovations and capacity improvements
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across assigned regions with minimal supervision
• Oversee site management, planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Monitor and report on project performance using KPIs (safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability)
• Coordinate due diligence efforts for new opportunities and site expansions
• Inform contractors of upcoming resource and workload changes
Design & Engineering Coordination
• Support scope development and design reviews with internal engineering and operational teams
• Identify design gaps, clashes, and scheduling conflicts across stakeholders
• Review construction works for compliance with specifications and standards
• Provide value engineering insights and recommend design improvements
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
• Act as the primary interface between internal teams and external partners (developers, contractors, vendors)
• Guide contractors and project teams throughout the full lifecycle of projects
• Audit contractor capabilities and ensure appropriate skills and competencies are in place
• Address performance issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Commercial & Contract Oversight
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control for all assigned projects
• Review and assess change requests related to cost and schedule
• Validate internal and external change requests, ensuring efficient implementation
• Maintain systems for tracking, scheduling, and documenting contract work
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, engineering, or facilities management
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and project lifecycle management
• Proven ability to work independently and manage regional responsibilities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in logistics, industrial, or warehouse construction environments
• Familiarity with large-scale retrofit and expansion projects
• Knowledge of German construction regulations and compliance standards
• Experience with KPI-driven project performance management
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools
• Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
Working Environment:
• Onsite role based in Garbsen, Germany with regional responsibilities
• Up to 40% travel required
• Work within active construction and operational environments (PPE required)
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners
