Job Title: Product Owner – Navblue Flysmart / Flight Operations
Location: Toulouse, France (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite per week)
Contract Type: Freelance Contract
Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with Strong Extension Potential
Overview
We are looking for a Product Owner to join a major aviation technology programme within the Navblue Flysmart environment. Working closely with pilots, Flight Operations stakeholders, and software development teams, you will play a key role in enhancing and delivering solutions that support flight planning and operational decision-making.
The successful candidate will act as the bridge between operational users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Gather and analyse requirements from pilots and Flight Operations stakeholders.
– Translate business needs into user stories and actionable development requirements.
– Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives.
– Work closely with development teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
– Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews.
– Support the continuous improvement and evolution of Flysmart products and features.
Required Skills & Experience
– 3-5 years of experience within Flight Operations, Aviation Operations, or aviation software environments.
– Strong hands-on knowledge of Navblue Flysmart and Flight Operations (Flight Ops).
– Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe frameworks.
– Strong requirements gathering, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills.
– Fluent English.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
– Strong product mindset and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
– Previous Product Owner experience.
– Previous experience as a Pilot or within airline operations.
– Master’s Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, or a related field.
– Experience working on aviation digital transformation or software development programmes.
Candidate Profile
– We are open to candidates who may not currently hold a formal Product Owner title but can demonstrate strong business understanding, experience managing requirements and priorities, and a clear product-oriented mindset within Agile environments.
