Role: CSA Construction Manager
Location: Dublin – Ireland

Role Description
Primary objective of the role is to monitor, assist and manage the Civil Structural Architecture (CSA) Contractor on client new region projects, to ensure the quality of the installation is to client standards as well as speed of delivery to the client project schedule.

Overview of Activities
The following is an overview of the activities carried out to achieve the above:

• Review of CSA IFC designs to gain scope understanding. Where design issues are present, highlight same to be rectified in future designs and shop drawings.
• Assist the CSA contractor in the development of shop drawings and review of same.
• Monitor shop drawing progress against project programme.
• Assist in technical review of proposed materials and equipment prior to formal submission.
• Monitor material approval status, and procurement to project programme to ensure materials are submitted and approved in time for procurement, and ensure smooth delivery for construction.
• Monitor site works to project programme, ensuring adequate labour, plant and machinery are available for the available work faces.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure best practices and client standards are applied from an early stage to minimise / eliminate rework.
• Interface with MEPF sub-contractors to identify potential issues delaying access and progress.
• Sequence works to maximise progress for available work fronts.
• Drive the Structural and Civil scope to ensure MEPF contractor can gain early access to roof area for Fire Protection, LLE Equipment, CHW and Electrical Containment installations.
• Prioritise Phase 1 Zone to ensure building envelope is sealed pre-arrival of LLE equipment.
• Monitor progress and prepare micro programmes with labour forecasts where contractors have varied from project programme in order to recover lost time.
• Assist in the development of method statements.
• Interface with construction crews at the work faces to resolve technical/installation queries.
• Walk down of CSA work packs pre-final inspection with local consultant.
• Interface with LLE suppliers and MEPF sub-contractors to ensure they are prepared for installation / commissioning of their equipment.
• Transfer of knowledge and client experience to CSA & MEPF contractors for future phases.
• Assist the MCs through L4 and L5 commissioning.
