This role will support parking, retrofit, sprinkler system replacement, Nexus, and Tailor programmes. The successful candidate will join during the pre-construction phase, taking ownership of project planning, documentation review, stakeholder engagement, risk identification, and handover readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

– Identify risks and gaps early during pre-construction to prevent delays during execution.
– Validate project handovers and ensure projects are fully prepared before construction begins.
– Maintain strong engagement with the Pre-Construction team, which will make up approximately 30% of the role.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
– Work closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
– Proactively engage stakeholders, gather information, and anticipate the needs of other teams, particularly RME.
– Ensure effective communication between pre-construction, engineering, operations, and delivery teams.
– Challenge assumptions, review work thoroughly, and ensure project readiness throughout the lifecycle.

Health & Safety:
– Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety across the entire project lifecycle.
– Ensure Health & Safety remains the highest priority, particularly on Nexus programmes.
– Review site plans, project documentation, and handovers to identify potential safety risks before construction begins.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant safety requirements and construction standards.

Basic Qualifications:
– 5+ years’ experience in Construction Project Management, Engineering, Facilities, or Infrastructure projects.
– Experience supporting construction, retrofit, refurbishment, or capital improvement projects.
– Strong understanding of pre-construction activities, project planning, handovers, and construction lifecycle management.
– Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to dive deep into project documentation.
– Ability to work independently while taking full ownership of project delivery.
– Comfortable working in a hybrid role with travel across Germany.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience delivering construction projects within the German market.
– Background working on logistics, industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution facilities.
– Experience with retrofit, parking, sprinkler replacement, or operational facility projects.
– Strong understanding of Health & Safety within construction environments.
– Experience working alongside RME, Engineering, Operations, and Pre-Construction teams.
– PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.

Working Environment:
– Hybrid role based in Germany.
– Travel across Germany required.
– Travel expenses included within the agreed rate.
– Initial focus on Pre-Construction before transitioning into Construction delivery in 2027.
– Work across live operational and construction environments where PPE may be required.

What Makes You Stand Out:
You understand that successful construction projects begin during pre-construction. You are naturally detail-oriented, enjoy diving deep into project documentation, identifying risks before they become issues, and ensuring every handover is completed to a high standard. You communicate confidently with multiple stakeholders, anticipate project needs, and take full ownership while maintaining an uncompromising focus on Health & Safety, quality, and programme delivery.
