Overview
Linnk is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support the deployment of next-generation automation and robotics technologies within a highly automated logistics environment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in integrating, commissioning, and optimizing advanced robotic and material handling systems. This position combines controls engineering, robotics integration, machine vision, and industrial automation, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies that are transforming modern warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, PLC programming, object oriented software engineering, robotics, and electrical troubleshooting, with experience delivering projects in fast-paced operational environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain control panels, electrical systems, VFDs, servo drives, and motor-driven rollers
 • Develop, modify, and optimize object oriented PLC programs, with a focus on Codesys architecture and motion control systems
 • Perform system integration across electrical, mechanical, controls, and software components
 • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimise automation systems to maximise reliability and performance
 • Ensure compliance with all site safety standards, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and risk mitigation procedures
 • Produce accurate technical documentation, commissioning records, and daily progress reports
 • Collaborate with engineering, software, and project delivery teams to ensure successful project execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience working as a Controls Engineer within industrial automation, robotics, or material handling environments using Object Oriented Programming in ST
 • Experience reading electrical schematics and performing electrical fault finding and diagnostics
 • Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting Codesys or Beckhoff PLCs and motion control systems
 • Strong understanding of industrial networking, automation hardware, and system integration
 • Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, including PowerShell, Terminal, and command-line tools
 • Experience deploying and commissioning robotic automation systems
 • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
 • Fluent English (C1 level or above)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 • Familiarity with MotionLink software and Beckhoff Servo Drives
 • Experience configuring and optimising advanced industrial camera and vision systems
 • Knowledge of warehouse automation, material handling equipment (MHE), or fulfilment technologies
 • Experience supporting commissioning activities within live operational environments
 • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices
