Job purpose
The Team Leader FNE is responsible for leading and managing the Project Delivery FNE team responsible for the execution and operational delivery of fixed fiber and wireless connectivity projects across Enterprise and Government domains. The role ensures that project delivery activities are effectively planned, tracked, escalated, and completed in line with customer commitments, SLA expectations, and revenue realization targets.
The role provides day-to-day leadership to Project Delivery Specialists, drives accountability across internal infrastructure teams, vendors, customers, and sales stakeholders, and ensures that delivery blockers are proactively identified and resolved. The Team Leader is accountable for maintaining delivery momentum across complex and high-priority projects, supporting escalation management, improving delivery governance, and ensuring that the team operates with ownership beyond administrative coordination.
This role directly contributes to business performance by safeguarding service delivery timelines, accelerating readiness for service, improving customer experience, and protecting revenue through timely project execution and effective stakeholder management.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of connectivity projects from receipt of approved requests through the Lead-to-Order process, continuing through implementation, activation, customer handover, and closure.
• Supervise the Project Delivery team responsible for executing fixed fiber and wireless connectivity projects across Enterprise, Government, Large Enterprise, and Key Account segments.
• Own delivery progress across all implementation stages, including feasibility validation, site survey, civil works, ducting, cable pulling, splicing, installation, testing, commissioning, activation, and handover.
• Ensure project delivery activities are executed in line with approved scope, customer requirements, internal processes, delivery commitments, and agreed service levels.
• Drive coordination across du Infrastructure, Engineering, Transmission, Access, NOC, vendors, contractors, customers, Account Managers, Solution Consultants, and internal management to maintain delivery momentum.
• Act as the main escalation point for complex delivery issues, including technical blockers, access constraints, permit delays, vendor performance gaps, material shortages, resource conflicts, and customer-side dependencies.
• Ensure site readiness, permits, access approvals, materials, route approvals, and technical prerequisites are secured within committed timelines.
• Monitor delivery milestones, implementation progress, operational risks, cost exposure, and dependency status across the team’s project portfolio.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies early, and guide the team in taking corrective action to avoid delays, SLA breaches, revenue slippage, or customer dissatisfaction.
• Drive accountability across internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and customer stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of connectivity services.
• Review and validate project updates, delivery plans, risk logs, escalation summaries, and customer communication before circulation to management or external stakeholders.
• Provide structured, executive-ready updates to customers, Sales leadership, and management, clearly highlighting progress, risks, blockers, mitigation actions, and expected completion timelines.
• Ensure accurate tracking of delivery status across all active projects, with clear ownership, next actions, and target dates.
• Support prioritization of strategic, high-value, government, and escalated customer projects while maintaining fairness and operational discipline across the full project pipeline.
• Ensure technical documentation, route approvals, acceptance certificates, testing records, RFS confirmations, handover documents, and closure records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
• Work closely with Account Managers and Sales teams to ensure customer dependencies are clearly communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensure smooth transition from delivery to activation, billing, and operational support teams, minimizing handover gaps and revenue delays.
• Track team performance against delivery KPIs, including on-time activation, milestone adherence, SLA compliance, blocker resolution time, documentation accuracy, customer satisfaction, and delay-driven cost exposure.
• Identify recurring delivery bottlenecks, process gaps, and systemic delays, and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, or governance enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery governance, reporting discipline, escalation management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Coach, guide, and develop Project Delivery Specialists to strengthen their execution ownership, technical understanding, stakeholder management, escalation handling, and customer communication capabilities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support team members in building capability and readiness for increased responsibilities.
• Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, service quality, and customer-centric delivery across the Project Delivery team.

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Experience:
• 3–6 years of experience in telecom fiber deployment, infrastructure rollout, or network implementation roles.
• Hands-on exposure to fiber lifecycle including survey, ducting, civil works, cable pulling, splicing, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience delivering Enterprise or Government connectivity projects preferred.
• Field experience in infrastructure or wireless rollout environments highly preferred.

Skills:
• Strong understanding of fiber deployment lifecycle including survey execution, ducting, civil works supervision, cable pulling, splicing, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, KMZ files, GIS maps, overlays, route designs, and civil layouts.
• Knowledge of meet-me points (MMP), fiber and copper termination standards, and customer equipment handover practices.
• Understanding of structured cabling deployment within commercial buildings, malls, and government facilities.
• Knowledge of microwave link deployment fundamentals including LOS validation, site surveys, mounting, and commissioning basics.
• Familiarity with service activation workflows, SLA structures, and telecom provisioning processes.
• Experience using project tracking systems and delivery management tools.
• Strong escalation and stakeholder influence capability.
• High execution discipline and ability to manage multiple concurrent site deployments.
