Job Purpose :
The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in translating du Pay’s commercial initiatives into clear, user-centric, and compliant business requirements. Acting as a bridge between Commercial P&L Owners, Compliance, Operations, Customer Support, UI/UX, and Technology teams, this role ensures that business intent is delivered through intuitive
customer journeys, robust processes, and scalable fintech solutions.
The role focuses on end-to-end business process definition, UI/UX-aware requirement writing, and close collaboration with Product, Design, and Technology teams, while contributing to shared process repositories and embedding regulatory considerations across all initiatives.

Key accountabilities:
Partner with P&L Owners and business stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into clear, testable, and user centric functional and non-functional requirements.
Elicit and document requirements using business processes, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring stories clearly express user intent, UX expectations, edge cases, and operational impact. Documents to be produced – BRD, FSD etc.
Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure requirements reflect customer journeys, usability principles, accessibility, error handling, and consistency across digital channels.
Design end-to-end BPMN 2.0 process flows covering happy paths, exception handling, reversals, and edge cases across the customer and transaction lifecycle.
Contribute to and maintain artefacts within the Central Business Process Repository, ensuring clarity, consistency, and reuse.
Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure requirements are feasible within existing platforms, APIs, integrations, and non-functional constraints such as performance, scalability, and security.
Define functional requirements for digital channels (mobile and web), operational workflows, internal reporting, and third-party integrations.
Analyze partner and scheme documentation (APIs, processors, networks) and translate them into business-ready process and interaction flows.
Interpret relevant CBUAE SVF and regulatory guidelines and ensure regulatory considerations are reflected in business requirements and UX flows in collaboration with Compliance.
Support requirements related to AML/CFT, Consumer Protection, Data Localization, Fraud, and Dispute Management.
Define data and reporting requirements to support commercial dashboards, operational monitoring, reconciliation, and audit needs.

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies:
Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Fintech, Payments, or Neobanking environments.
Domain Knowledge: Exposure to wallets, card issuing, and regulated fintech platforms; UAE / CBUAE experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications (Nice to Have): CBAP, CSPO, or exposure to ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS frameworks.

Knowledge and skills:
Strong understanding of Wallets, Cards, Issuing, Acquiring. Previous experience in working with wallet / mobile financial services is desired.
Strong requirement elicitation skills through stakeholder workshops and interviews, balancing business needs, UX considerations, and technical constraints.
Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to navigate through changing priorities and conflicts.
Proven experience writing high-quality user stories that articulate:
User intent and personas
UX expectations and validations
Functional behavior and edge cases
Acceptance criteria aligned with design and delivery
Solid understanding of payments and wallet ecosystems, including:
Ledger concepts, balances, and transaction lifecycles
Card issuance (physical and virtual)
Card processing fundamentals
Four-party card model
Experience with customer lifecycle management, including onboarding, KYC refresh, limits, and support journeys.
Good working knowledge of solution architecture concepts such as APIs, microservices, integrations, and non-functional requirements, enabling effective collaboration with architects.
Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA teams.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
Proficiency in BPMN 2.0 and modeling tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, PlantUML, Miro, or Mermaid.
Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, security hygiene, and data protection principles.
