Overview

Linnk is seeking a hands-on Junior Procurement & Materials Specialist to support procurement, inventory, and material management activities across two engineering lab facilities in Berlin.

Working closely with the Senior Procurement & Materials Manager, you will help ensure spare parts, production materials, and deployment equipment are ordered, received, tracked, stored, and shipped accurately. This is a practical role combining purchasing administration with hands-on inventory and logistics responsibilities in a fast-moving industrial environment.

The position is ideal for someone with experience in automotive, manufacturing, automation, or a similar environment who enjoys combining procurement with day-to-day materials operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage inventory across two Berlin lab facilities, including spare parts, production materials, and deployment/retrofit equipment
• Place and manage purchase orders through Coupa or similar procurement systems
• Receive incoming orders, verify deliveries, and maintain accurate material and stock records
• Monitor inventory levels and support timely replenishment of critical materials
• Organise storage areas and conduct regular inventory counts and stock reconciliations
• Prepare, ship, receive, and track international/offshore shipments in line with established processes
• Support material movements between lab facilities and external project locations
• Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Deployment teams to ensure materials are available when required
• Maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping across both lab environments
• Support improvements to procurement, inventory, and material management processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of procurement, materials management, inventory, logistics, or supply chain experience
• Experience within automotive, manufacturing, automation, engineering, or another high-volume industrial environment
• Experience managing spare parts, production materials, or technical equipment inventories
• Hands-on experience receiving, storing, counting, and shipping materials
• Experience using procurement, ERP, inventory, or purchasing systems
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Comfortable working in a role combining administrative and hands-on materials responsibilities
• Berlin-based with professional working proficiency in both German and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using Coupa or a similar procurement platform
• Experience supporting engineering labs, manufacturing facilities, or R&D environments
• Knowledge of ERP, MRP, WMS, or inventory management systems
• Experience coordinating international shipments and associated documentation
• Exposure to robotics, automation, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting deployment or retrofit material requirements
