Project Manager – Automation & Material Handling

Role Overview
Linnk Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale engineering and automation projects across multiple European locations.
The role will focus primarily on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automation and robotics within distribution and fulfilment environments. You will oversee projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and design through installation, commissioning and final launch, working closely with internal teams, contractors, vendors and site stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
– Supervise and coordinate MHE vendors throughout installation activities.
– Prepare weekly and daily project reports for project leadership.
– Provide overall site management, coordination and project planning.
– Conduct site inspections at key milestones, including construction start, 60% and 100% installation, turnover and close-out.
– Guide and coordinate subcontractors, maintenance engineers and commissioning engineers throughout project execution.
– Coordinate with facility teams regarding schedules, budgets and phased building turnover to enable smooth equipment installation.
– Monitor contractor performance against programme and quality requirements, addressing underperformance where required.
– Supervise construction activities to ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with applicable project safety requirements.
– Escalate safety concerns immediately to programme and site safety leadership.

Basic Qualifications
– 3+ years of project management experience.
– 3+ years of experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
– Experience within MHE, logistics or related environments.
– Strong ability to use data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
– Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
– Experience within large-scale, fast-paced operational environments.
– Bachelor’s degree.
– Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

Preferred Qualifications
– 3+ years of experience managing end-to-end project delivery and reporting results to senior leadership.
– Proven experience driving process improvement initiatives.
– Strong stakeholder management experience across multiple organisational levels.
– Experience developing processes and managing project schedules.
– Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or CAPM.
