We are looking for an experienced Transformer Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in power and distribution transformer installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including OLTC/off-load tap changer servicing, transformer testing and oil processing, and proven experience working in LV/MV/HV substation environments while leading field teams and ensuring safety compliance.

Roles and responsibilities

Perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power and distribution transformers in LV/MV/HV substation environments.
Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot on-load and off-load tap changers (OLTC/OCTC), identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct transformer testing and supervise oil filtration/processing activities, analysing results to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Lead and supervise field technicians and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and method statements.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of power and distribution transformers in substation environments.
Strong expertise in OLTC and off-load tap changer maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
Proven experience in transformer testing, analysis, and oil processing, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Experience working on LV, MV, and HV systems (up to 800 kV), with strong knowledge of industrial electrical wiring, safety standards, and field supervision.
