Role Purpose

The Ways of Working (WoW) Consultant is responsible for improving organizational productivity and effectiveness by diagnosing operational issues, redesigning operating models, and embedding continuous improvement practices across departments. The role combines data-driven analysis, process improvement, change enablement, and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct rapid diagnostics across departments to identify productivity improvement and waste reduction opportunities across People, Process, Technology, Governance, and Capability layers of the operating model

Perform quantitative analysis of departmental data to identify root causes of operational issues and translate insights into clear, data-backed problem statements

Design future-state operating models and target states aligned with the organization’s vision and agreed design principles

Identify and deliver process improvement initiatives through structured workshops, problem-solving sessions, and collaborative forums

Develop and maintain process taxonomies, organizational charts, and end-to-end process maps

Create customized implementation roadmaps to deliver improvements across operating model layers

Coach managers and team leaders on continuous improvement principles, tools, and ways of working

Design and implement visual management tools and dashboards (e.g., Kanban boards) to visualize workflows and work volumes

Define and cascade KPIs across departments, including leading and lagging indicators for transactional, project-based, and knowledge-based work

Support the design and rollout of digital dashboards to measure productivity and performance

Build Lean Six Sigma capability across management by designing and delivering training programs

Prepare and present high-quality PowerPoint presentations and Excel models for senior stakeholders and internal clients

Required Experience & Skills

Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where problems are not clearly defined and data may be limited

Arabic language skills preferred

Prior consulting experience (ideally Big 4) in areas such as:

Operational Excellence

Process Improvement / Re-engineering

Lean Six Sigma

Change & Behavioral Transformation

Digital Transformation

Proven hands-on experience delivering large-scale transformation programs within business services or financial services environments, with a strong focus on productivity improvement

Strong experience coaching senior leaders and middle management on process improvement tools and methodologies

Demonstrated experience implementing Visual Management in both back-office and front-line operations

Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Six Sigma tools, including process mapping, waste analysis, and descriptive statistics

Solid experience in Operating Model design

Strong data and analytics capabilities, with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI)

High emotional intelligence with strong influencing, stakeholder management, and consulting soft skills

Experience developing benefits cases and producing executive-level reports

A strong “can-do” attitude, willing to roll up sleeves, work under pressure, and deliver within tight timelines
