Job Title: Robotics Technician
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Base location: Berlin, with up to 50% travel to Erfurt and other locations in EU, UK, NA

Job Description:
Experienced technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, assembly and deploying
Amazon Robotics and associated infrastructure while ensuring maximum uptime of automated
systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead complex maintenance and repair activities on Amazon Robotics and related automation infrastructure
• Perform mechanical and electrical installations for new robotics deployments
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and improve maintenance procedures
• Lead and mentor junior technicians in troubleshooting and repair processes
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain critical components
• Interface with engineering teams for system improvements and modifications
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
• Support new technology implementations and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in industrial automation maintenance, with at scale robotics
systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
• Experience with PLC systems, industrial controls, and automation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance
manuals
• Knowledge of predictive/preventive maintenance practices
• Experience with hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Technical Skills:
• Understanding of robotics systems
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting
• Strong electrical diagnostic capabilities
• Knowledge of industrial safety systems and lockout/tagout procedures
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation
• Basic programming and software troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
• Previous experience with Amazon Robotics or KIVA systems
• Certifications in industrial maintenance or robotics
• Experience with wireless networks and industrial communication protocols
• Leadership or team lead experience
• German language

The role requires a combination of hands-on technical skills, leadership abilities, and strong
problem-solving capabilities to maintain and improve robotics operations while supporting
facility growth and technology implementation.
