We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Buyer to support our robotics organization. As the sole member of this procurement structure, the ideal candidate must combine strong procurement expertise with a strategic, business-driven mindset to support rapid growth and increasing operational demands. Duration of the mission 1 year.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop comprehensive specifications and tender documents, ensuring alignment with technical, operational, contractual, and commercial requirements.
– Lead end-to-end RFI and RFP processes, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and final selection.
– Drive cost-reduction initiatives using data-driven analysis, market insights, and supplier performance metrics.
– Partner closely with suppliers to help them scale in line with our company’s projected workload peak, ensuring capacity, quality, and delivery commitments.
– Understand and apply the company’s contractual framework, including key terms, risk allocation, and compliance requirements, ensuring supplier agreements follow internal standards.
– Operate with high levels of autonomy, managing priorities, decisions, and escalations with minimal supervision while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
– Anticipate risks and proactively identify, communicate, and escalate issues, including supply bottlenecks, quality concerns, and contractual deviations.
– Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and business development teams to support end-to-end project execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
– Strong background in procurement within industrial, robotics, or advanced manufacturing environments.
– Proven experience managing complex RFP/RFI processes and negotiating high-value contracts.
– Solid understanding of contractual frameworks, key commercial clauses, and risk management principles.
– Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
– Demonstrated ability to build strategic supplier relationships and support suppliers’ capability growth.
– Business-development mindset, capable of understanding long-term organizational needs and aligning supplier strategies accordingly.
– High degree of autonomy, ownership, and self-direction, with the ability to operate effectively as a standalone function.
– Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and presentation skills.
– Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
