Senior Internal Audit Manager

Job Purpose

The Automation Resource is a key technical role responsible for supporting banking operations through the design and implementation of data automation, UI-driven visualisation, and analytics solutions.

The incumbent plays a critical role in streamlining reporting processes, enhancing data accuracy, and enabling data-driven decision-making within a regulated banking environment.

The role involves close collaboration with business and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable automation solutions while ensuring compliance with data governance, regulatory, and security standards.

Key Activities / Responsibilities (Not exhaustive list)

Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows and analytics solutions using Alteryx and Python.

Build intuitive UI applications and data visualisation dashboards to support operational and business teams.

Automate recurring reports and manual data processes to improve efficiency, control, and accuracy.

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics purposes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical automation solutions.

Ensure all automation and analytics solutions comply with banking policies, data governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Perform data validation, quality checks, and control assessments within automated processes.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for further automation and optimisation.

Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user support for developed solutions.

Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience within the banking or financial services sector.

Proven experience delivering automation and analytics solutions in a regulated environment.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation, workflow automation, and analytics.

Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, and data processing.

Proven experience in UI development and data visualisation (dashboards, reports, analytical views).

Strong understanding of data quality controls, governance, and regulatory considerations within banking environments.

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

Relevant certifications in data analytics, automation, or visualisation tools are advantageous.

Ability to work independently and manage deliverables effectively.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
