Job Title: Network Resident Engineer (Wireless & Wired LAN)
Location: Paris, France (Hybrid – onsite required)
Duration: Initial 6-month contract (extension possible)
Start Date: June onboarding / July 2026 project start
Overview
A global technology organisation is seeking a Network Resident Engineer to support a major enterprise customer based in Paris. The customer is undergoing a large-scale global wireless network refresh across up to 450 sites, migrating to a next-generation enterprise networking platform.
This role will be embedded within the customer environment, acting as the key technical liaison between the customer and delivery teams responsible for the transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary technical liaison between the customer and delivery teams
Support the rollout and transformation of wireless and wired LAN infrastructure across multiple global sites
Collaborate closely with professional services teams delivering the replacement of legacy network infrastructure
Provide proactive technical support, including issue assessment, incident management, and resolution recommendations
Maintain and update network documentation, processes, and standards
Deliver knowledge transfer through coaching sessions, design reviews, and technical workshops
Participate in architecture board reviews and contribute to technical decision-making
Identify opportunities to optimise and expand the customer’s networking capabilities

Enterprise Wireless LAN solutions
Wired LAN / Switching
Network access control and policy management
Network management and orchestration platforms
Overlay networking technologies (e.g. VXLAN)
Key Requirements
Strong experience as a Network Engineer within enterprise environments (wireless and wired LAN)
Experience supporting large-scale network transformation or refresh programmes
Ability to operate in a customer-facing, embedded role
Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
Experience maintaining technical documentation and processes
Fluent in French and English
Desirable Skills & Certifications
Certifications in enterprise wireless, switching, network access control, or network management platforms
Experience with modern network management/orchestration tools
Knowledge of overlay networking technologies (e.g. VXLAN)
Additional Information
Onsite presence required at least 2 days per week
Initial 6-month engagement with potential for extension or long-term opportunity
Strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer
