Resident Network Engineer – Juniper
Location: Ivory Coast (On-site/Hybrid)
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Juniper Resident Network Engineer to support a major service provider core network upgrade in the Ivory Coast. The role focuses on a migration of new Juniper routing platforms from MX960 routers to new MX10K routers, onboarding new sites, and transferring skills to local teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Replace 4 legacy MX960 routers with MX10K platforms
Migrate line cards between existing MX960 routers
Install and configure EX switches
Support the integration of new network sites
Perform Junos configuration, validation, and troubleshooting
Support Routing Processor upgrades on legacy platforms where feasible
Deploy and support telemetry and monitoring tools
Provide training and mentoring to local engineering and operations teams
Required Technical Skills:
Strong IP routing expertise: IS-IS, BGP
Junos OS configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with Juniper MX routers (MX960 / MX10K preferred)
Knowledge of Segment Routing (SR-MPLS and SRv6)
Familiarity with telemetry and network tools
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years’ experience in service provider or large-scale networks
Hands-on experience with core network migrations
Juniper certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) are a plus
Comfortable working on-site in a customer environment
Training or knowledge-transfer experience preferred
French and English Fluency
