System Architect

Role : System Architect
Type : Contractual (Yearly Renewable Contract)

Key accountabilities
• Own end-to-end solution architecture across channels, middleware, APIs, backend systems, databases, and deployment platforms.
• Define architecture blueprints, integration models, deployment strategies, and non-functional requirements to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
• Lead architecture activities throughout the solution lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, release management, and production support
• Design and govern integrations across internal platforms, cloud services, on-premises systems, and third-party solutions.
• Define and support cloud and on-premises deployment architectures, CI/CD frameworks, environment strategies, and lifecycle management practices
• Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Drive architecture reviews, technical governance, risk assessment, issue resolution, and solution quality throughout project execution.
• Evaluate technology solutions, platforms, vendor products, and integration approaches, providing recommendations aligned with business, operational, and architectural requirements.

• Mentor engineering teams and promote architecture, integration, deployment, and operational best practices.

Scope and Decision-Making Authority
• Owns the end-to-end technical architecture for assigned initiatives, covering solution design, integration architecture, deployment architecture, and lifecycle management.
• Accountable for architectural decisions related to technology selection, solution design, integration approaches, deployment models, and non-functional requirements.
• Provides technical leadership, manages architecture risks and dependencies, and ensures solutions align with business objectives, operational requirements, security standards, and enterprise architecture principles.

Minimum experience:
• 10+ years of experience in System Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Integration Architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions across channels, middleware, APIs, backend platforms, and cloud/on-premises environments.
• Strong experience with OCI, CI/CD, deployment architecture, integration architecture, and application lifecycle management.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant architecture or cloud certifications are advantageous.

Knowledge and skills:
• End-to-end solution and system architecture.
• API, middleware, integration, and microservices architecture.
• Cloud and on-premises deployment architecture (OCI preferred).
• CI/CD, DevOps, release management, and lifecycle management.
• High availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and security architecture.
• Architecture documentation including HLDs, LLDs, deployment and integration designs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture governance.
• Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
