Role Overview:
Linnk Group is supporting a global client in the search for an experienced Construction Site Manager to support a major logistics infrastructure programme in Germany.
Acting as the Construction Manager’s primary onsite representative, you will oversee daily construction activities, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme objectives.
This is a hands-on onsite role requiring someone who can confidently monitor construction progress, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, proactively identify issues, and maintain strong project governance throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Site & Construction Management:
– Act as the Construction Manager’s primary onsite representative, serving as the “eyes and ears” of the project.
– Monitor daily construction activities to ensure works are progressing safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.
– Provide regular site updates and progress reports to the Construction Manager and wider project team.
– Attend daily site meetings, internal project calls, and coordinate communication across multiple stakeholders.
– Support multiple phases of an ongoing construction programme.
– Proactively identify site issues, construction risks, and programme impacts before they affect project delivery.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
– Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.
– Build strong working relationships across construction, engineering, operations, and project stakeholders.
– Ensure clear communication between all parties throughout the project lifecycle.
– Follow up on outstanding actions and ensure project activities remain aligned with programme objectives.
Project Coordination & Change Management:
– Support project delivery by understanding scope changes and assisting with their implementation.
– Review project documentation and ensure construction activities align with project scope and programme.
– Assist with general site management, reporting, documentation, and back-office coordination.
Basic Qualifications:
– 4+ years’ experience in construction, site management, engineering, facilities, or infrastructure projects.
– Previous experience delivering large-scale logistics, warehouse, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
– Experience working as a Construction Manager or Site Manager on complex construction programmes.
– Strong understanding of construction site operations and project lifecycle management.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Ability to work independently while taking ownership of site activities.
– Fluent in both English and German.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Previous experience supporting large-scale operational or logistics facilities.
– Strong understanding of construction Health & Safety requirements.
– Experience coordinating multiple contractors and stakeholders within live construction environments.
– Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
– Proficiency in project reporting and construction documentation.
Working Environment:
– Full-time onsite role based in Germany.
– Standard 40-hour working week.
– Immediate requirement to support the next phases of the programme.
– Work within active construction environments where PPE is required.
