Linnk Group is seeking a highly driven and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee Retrofits, Expansions and Initiatives (REI) across a portfolio of existing logistics and distribution facilities throughout the UK and Wales. This is a hands-on onsite role supporting projects from pre-construction through to delivery, with responsibility for managing multiple active sites simultaneously.
The successful candidate will typically support 2–3 sites in the construction phase, alongside up to 5 sites in pre-construction, requiring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager who can hit the ground running and is comfortable working in an environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Construction Management:
– Lead end-to-end delivery of retrofit, expansion, and capital improvement projects across multiple operational facilities
– Manage 2–3 live construction projects alongside up to 5 pre-construction projects
– Coordinate planning, execution, site management, and project delivery activities
– Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
– Monitor project performance against KPIs including safety, quality, cost, programme, and sustainability
– Support due diligence activities for site upgrades and expansion opportunities
Design & Engineering Coordination:
– Support scope development and design reviews with engineering and operational stakeholders
– Identify design clashes, constructability issues, and programme risks
– Review construction activities for compliance with design specifications and industry standards
– Provide value engineering recommendations where appropriate
Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
– Act as the primary interface between internal teams, developers, contractors, consultants, and vendors
– Build strong working relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
– Monitor contractor performance and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
– Communicate upcoming workload changes and resource requirements to project partnersCommercial & Contract Management:
– Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control
– Review and assess change requests relating to programme and commercial impacts
– Maintain project reporting, scheduling, and contract documentation
– Ensure accurate project governance and reporting throughout delivery
Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
– 5+ years’ experience managing construction, engineering, facilities, or infrastructure projects
– Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within live operational environments
– Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and project lifecycle management
– Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience delivering logistics, industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution facility projects
– Previous involvement in retrofit, refurbishment, renovation, or expansion projects
– Knowledge of UK construction regulations and CDM requirements
– Experience using KPI-driven project management methodologies
– Proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools
– PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
Working Environment:
– Onsite role supporting projects across various locations throughout the UK and Wales
– Standard 40-hour working week
– Typically responsible for 2–3 live construction sites and up to 5 pre-construction projects
– Regional travel required, with lower travel commitments during pre-construction phases
– Work within active construction and operational environments (PPE required)
– Immediate interview process with an ASAP start
