Role Overview
Linnk Group is seeking an experienced Field Engineering Project Manager to act as the primary onsite point of contact during the deployment of engineering solutions across existing logistics facilities and new greenfield sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
The role will support the deployment of material handling, automation, retrofit, and operational engineering solutions. You will be responsible for supporting project planning, onsite execution, stakeholder coordination, site acceptance testing, and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
– Project Planning:
– Conduct field verification of drawings and identify potential interferences with existing or new equipment.
– Raise required change management documentation for different project phases.
– Address concerns raised by relevant approver groups prior to the commencement of onsite works.
Project Execution
– Set up and manage daily coordination calls with vendors, Operations, Health & Safety, maintenance, and engineering stakeholders.
– Provide daily project summary reports to the Field Engineering Project Manager.
– Conduct site visits to verify project progress and gather stakeholder and customer feedback.
– Proactively address concerns identified during site visits and escalate where required.
– Manage project materials, including signage and racking, ensuring materials are received onsite, inventoried, and any gaps identified.
– Coordinate with operational and maintenance teams regarding the movement of materials within the facility and with third-party providers supporting material movement and installation.
– Coordinate with IT teams and monitor relevant infrastructure during data cable terminations.
– Validate cable installation and functionality in collaboration with IT.
– Support the Field Engineering Project Manager during site acceptance testing, requiring approximately 4–5 days of continuous onsite presence.
Project Closure
– Obtain required project documentation from vendors and validate documentation against agreed deliverables.
– Perform basic document validation, including checking relevant declarations, signatures, and correct site information.
– Transfer completed project documentation to the appropriate project and engineering document storage systems.
Basic Qualifications
– Working experience within Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
– Experience working as a Project Manager delivering medium-complexity projects.
– Proficiency in:
– AutoCAD
– Microsoft Project
– Microsoft Excel
Working Environment
– Onsite presence required for 75–100% of project deployment activities.
– Projects may be located across various sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
– Role involves supporting both existing operational facilities and new greenfield developments.
