Microservices Developer

Role Summary
The Spring Boot Microservices Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices-based applications within a banking environment. The role focuses on building high-performance, secure, and resilient backend services that support digital banking platforms, core banking integrations, and enterprise applications.

Role and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and Java
• Develop RESTful APIs and integration services to support banking applications and platforms
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Implement secure, scalable, and high-performing application components following banking industry standards
• Integrate applications with core banking systems, third-party platforms, and enterprise services
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Optimize application performance and support production issue resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and development governance standards
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java development with strong expertise in Spring Boot
• Proven experience developing and deploying microservices architectures
• Banking or financial services industry experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and service integration patterns
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and related technologies
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift is advantageous
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and source control tools such as Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
