Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Offshore Subsea Testing & Validation Consultant to support the qualification, testing and commercial readiness of an innovative subsea cable technology intended for floating offshore wind applications.
The successful consultant will act as the technical lead for offshore validation activities, helping define testing requirements, identify suitable offshore assets and test locations, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee the execution of a real-world offshore testing programme.
This is not a design role.
The focus is on proving technology performance in operational offshore environments and helping transition the product from development into commercial deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Offshore Testing Strategy
• Define and develop the offshore validation programme
• Create testing methodologies and acceptance criteria
• Establish load cases and operational scenarios
• Define environmental and mechanical testing requirements
• Ensure testing replicates real-world floating wind conditions
Technical Validation & Qualification
• Review engineering assumptions and design requirements
• Validate product performance against expected offshore operating conditions
• Support technical assurance activities
• Assist in preparing evidence required for customer acceptance and future certification
Offshore Execution
• Identify suitable offshore platforms, assets or demonstration opportunities
• Support engagement with offshore operators, developers and installation partners
• Assist with deployment planning and offshore logistics
• Provide technical oversight during offshore testing activities
Compliance & Standards
• Ensure testing programmes align with relevant offshore industry standards
• Advise on:
○ DNV requirements
○ API standards
○ Offshore wind best practice
○ Subsea qualification processes
Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with:
○ Internal engineering teams
○ Product development teams
○ Offshore contractors
○ Potential customers
○ Certification bodies
○ Technology partners
