Senior PV Design/ Technical Advisory

We are currently seeking a Senior PV Design / Technical Specialist to support utility-scale solar projects on a freelance basis.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with hands-on experience in PV system design, modelling, and layout optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimise PV system designs for ground-mounted solar projects
Perform detailed modelling and simulations to support project development
Analyse technical documentation and propose design improvements
Support technical due diligence and performance optimisation
Collaborate with engineering teams on layout, electrical design, and system performance
Technical Skills Required:

PV Design Tools: PVcase GM, PVsyst
Electrical & Modelling: ETAP or EA-PSM (LV/MV AC systems), including:
Earthing engineering
Protection systems
GIS & Layouts: AutoCAD Map 3D, QGIS, Google Earth Pro
Mechanical Engineering: Experience with ground-mounted PV systems
Requirements:

Proven experience in utility-scale solar PV design.
Strong technical and analytical capabilities
Experience working on international projects is an advantage
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Contract Details:

Freelance / contract-based
Fully remote (candidate must be from and based in the EU)
Project-based with potential for extension
