Product Owner / Business Analyst – SAMA Regulations & E-Wallets

Job Summary We are seeking a regulatory-savvy Product Owner / Business Analyst to ensure our e-wallet products fully comply with local Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations while delivering exceptional user experiences. This role focuses on translating regulatory requirements into actionable product features and processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, interpret, and analyze SAMA regulations, circulars, and guidelines related to e-wallets, stored value facilities, and digital payments.
• Own the product backlog for regulatory-driven initiatives, including licensing requirements, transaction limits, KYC/AML enhancements, and consumer protection features.
• Conduct impact assessments of new or updated SAMA rules on existing e-wallet products and define mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams to translate regulations into clear business and technical requirements.
• Design and document compliant user journeys, data collection processes, reporting mechanisms, and audit trails.
• Work with engineering teams to implement regulatory controls, such as real-time transaction monitoring and dynamic limit management.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, including policies, procedures, and evidence of compliance for SAMA submissions.
• Act as the product liaison during regulatory audits and inspections.
• Drive continuous improvement to balance regulatory adherence with innovation and user experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in fintech/payments, with strong focus on regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of SAMA regulations, particularly those governing e-wallets, payment services, and fintech licensing in Saudi Arabia.
• Previous experience working with SAMA on licensing, compliance filings, or audits is highly preferred.
