Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to join a leading aviation technology programme based in Waterloo. Working within the Navblue ecosystem, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and aviation experts to drive the development and enhancement of mission-critical aviation software products.

This role requires a strong blend of product leadership, aviation domain expertise, and regulatory understanding, particularly within the North American aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities
– Own and manage the product backlog, roadmap, and feature prioritisation.
– Gather, analyse, and translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into actionable user stories.
– Work closely with development teams to ensure successful product delivery within Agile/SAFe environments.
– Collaborate with customers, Flight Operations stakeholders, and regulatory experts to define product enhancements.
– Ensure product capabilities align with FAA regulations, operational requirements, and business objectives.
– Act as the key liaison between business and technical stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
– Minimum 10 years of experience within Product Ownership, Product Management, Aviation Technology, or Flight Operations environments.
– Extensive hands-on experience with Navblue products and solutions (mandatory).
– Strong knowledge of U.S Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) regulations, standards, and compliance requirements (mandatory).
– Experience delivering products within complex, highly regulated aviation environments.
– Strong Agile and/or SAFe experience.
– Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
– Fluent English.

Nice to Have
– Experience working directly with airlines, pilots, dispatchers, or Flight Operations teams.
– Knowledge of EASA and ICAO regulatory frameworks.
– Background in aviation software, flight planning, or operational aviation solutions.
– Degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
