Role Overview:
Linnk Group is seeking a Test Operator to support the testing and performance validation of advanced mechatronic automation systems, with a particular focus on operational metrics such as throughput, quality, and overall system performance.
Working closely with Performance and Engineering teams, the Test Operator will execute structured test plans, conduct experiments, configure test equipment, coordinate with vendors, and collect high-quality performance data.
This is a hands-on engineering position requiring a methodical approach to testing, strong attention to detail, and practical experience with mechanical and electrical systems. The successful candidate will also contribute to improving testing methodologies, documentation, and overall testing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing & Experimentation:
-Execute structured test plans and Design of Experiments (DOE) in collaboration with the Performance team.
-Test mechatronic and automation systems to validate throughput, quality, and other operational performance metrics.
-Set up and prepare equipment and systems for testing activities.
-Ensure testing is completed accurately and in accordance with defined procedures.
-Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies and procedures.
Data Collection & Analysis:
-Capture test data, including time-based, image-based, and other performance metrics.
-Collect, organise, and perform initial analysis of test results.
-Maintain high standards of data accuracy, quality, and traceability.
-Identify anomalies and support technical investigation and troubleshooting.
-Apply statistical analysis techniques to support performance validation.
Equipment & Vendor Coordination:
-Monitor equipment performance throughout testing activities.
-Support the operation and maintenance of testing systems.
-Coordinate with external vendors during testing activities where required.
-Work alongside engineering teams to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues.
-Ensure test equipment and environments are correctly configured for each experiment.
Documentation & Reporting:
-Maintain detailed documentation covering test activities, procedures, results, and observations.
-Ensure testing complies with agreed processes and documentation standards.
-Present results and findings to engineering and project stakeholders.
-Provide technical observations and feedback to support system and product improvements.
-Contribute to technical discussions around testing methodologies, performance, and optimisation.
Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of relevant engineering experience within manufacturing, logistics, automation, industrial engineering, or a similar environment.
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
-Hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical systems.
-Experience executing structured testing or experimental activities.
-Experience collecting, validating, and analysing engineering or performance data.
-Good understanding of statistical analysis.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
-Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
-Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Master’s degree or other advanced technical qualification.
-Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).
-Experience testing automation, robotics, mechatronic, manufacturing, or material handling systems.
-Experience with data and analytics technologies including Python/R, Minitab/JMP, Power BI/Tableau, or SQL.
-Experience developing or improving engineering testing procedures.
-Experience collaborating with vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Working Environment:
-Fully onsite within an engineering and automation testing environment in Île-de-France.
-Regular collaboration with Performance, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, and wider Engineering teams.
-Significant hands-on involvement with physical equipment and experimental testing.
-Fast-paced environment requiring accurate data collection and detailed technical documentation.
